[Non-YCLA Event] IN CONVERSATION WITH: Eric Liu '90

IN CONVERSATION WITH: Eric Liu '90 -- author, educator, civic entrepreneur, and former Clinton speechwriter/policy advisor -- will be in LA discussing his new book: A CHINAMAN'S CHANCE: One Family's Journey to the Chinese American Dream.

Date:Wednesday July 30
Time: 7:15pm
LocationLos Angeles Central Library's Mark Taper Auditorium
630 W. Fifth Street, Los Angeles, CA

With humor, honesty, and intelligence, Liu explores the complex dimensions of American identity against the backdrop of China and America through searching personal essays in which he traces his family's history, culture, and future. A CHINAMAN'S CHANCE offers the reflection of one Chinaman on chance: on the role of his own family's journey, and on the chance America still has to be something greater than the sum of its many tinted parts.
