Featuring Columbia alumnus Ian Scheffler, at a project space directed by Janna Avner (Yale alumna, 2012). Co-sponsored by the Yale Club of LA, Dartmouth Club of LA, MIT Club of Southern California.

Everyone knows Rubik's Cube. It's the most popular puzzle on earth, the totem of nerds everywhere. But did you know its maker was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci? Or that Rubik's Cube, in turn, has inspired a legion of artists, including Invader, the world-renowned French street artist?

In "The Art and Science of Rubik's Cube," author Ian Scheffler will discuss these angles and more from his currrent book, "Cracking the Cube," which delves into the untold history and wacky wolrd of competitive Rubik's Cube solving.
