Designing A Physical Yale Club of LA

What would a physical Yale Club of LA look like? New York has a physical Yale Club. LA does not. So what could a physical Yale Club of LA building look like? What features and design would it have that incorporate both Yale and Los Angeles aesthetics? What functions should it have: meeting space, pool, gym, cocktail areas, and more? Our team of Yalies architects (who work at Gehry Architects in LA) will present their sketches for an theoretical Yale Club of LA building in three potential locations: Malibu, Downtown LA, and one more to be revealed. They have obtained community feedback via a Yale Club of LA Facebook posting, and are excited to share their concepts with the Yale community.

Attend this event to learn about how architects concept and present a project, incorporate community feedback, and work to combine different themes into a physical space.

The Yale Club of LA building is purely theoretical and is an artistic exercise to show how architects work. There is no funding to build and develop it. However if some Yalies are inspired to fundraise with this as a starting point, we won't complain!

- 9-9:30p After Cocktails
