About YaleLA
The Yale Club of Los Angeles (YaleLA) is a non-profit volunteer organization serving Yale University’s undergraduate and graduate school alumni throughout the greater Los Angeles area. We are one of Yale’s largest regional clubs in the world, with more than 6,000 LA alumni and 10,000 affiliated members.
We are the proud recipient of the Yale Board of Governors Excellence Award for 2022, for our efforts to revitalize the alumni community in LA following the pandemic.
Our purpose is to enrich the lives of Yale alumni in the LA area and support a vibrant, engaged Yale community here. YaleLA brings together individuals from the many diverse affiliations, interests and demographics that comprise the Yale community in this area. We seek to provide rewarding experiences, foster a strong sense of community, encourage alumni participation in the continuing life of Yale, and facilitate opportunities to serve the greater LA community.
Whether you’re in town for a short visit or have relocated to LA permanently, you’ll find a friendly and welcoming home here!

YaleLA President’s Message - Spring 2022
Welcome back! COVID put a sudden halt to life as we knew it — including all of our usual events, gatherings and programming. As California reopens and post-pandemic life resumes, the Yale Club of Los Angeles (YaleLA) is coming back in full force too, newly revitalized and energized. After being socially distanced and physically separated for far too long, Yalies in LA are eager to reconnect, make new connections, and resume the activities we’ve missed. YaleLA now also has a unique opportunity to rebuild and to rethink the value it can bring to the alumni in this area.
There are many initiatives and ideas in the works. This new website is one of them. We hope it will become a useful resource for you and help to keep you connected to our Yale family — along with our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages, which are more frequently updated with new photos and posts. We are also excited to soon be able to introduce you to a new group of board members. As for resuming in-person events, we have been playing things by ear, but your fellow Yalies have been organizing some smaller gatherings again — and we are planning larger events in the coming months to officially welcome everyone back to the new YaleLA.
For me, the best thing about Yale has always been its Yalies — and all of the many different, extraordinary things that Yalies do and represent. (For example, the very talented Royce Tiger, Yale College Class of 2024, helped us build this new website!) YaleLA is no different: what makes it so special is the many thousands of remarkable Yale alums in the greater LA area, and their involvement. If you are interested in becoming more actively involved, please let us know. We are always looking for volunteers to help lead the charge and keep our Yale community in LA vibrant and fun — and this is a particularly exciting time to get involved.
